What is a Progressive Web App?

A progressive web application (PWA) is a type of website that can be downloaded and installed on your device, allowing you to access it like a regular native app you would download from the apple store. It combines the best features of both web and mobile apps, providing a seamless and faster user experience even without a internet connection.

Installing the App on iOS:

To install the PWA on iOS, you will need to use the Safari web browser. Start by opening Safari and navigating to the website. Once you’re on the site, tap the “Share” button at the bottom of the screen. From the options that appear, select “Add to Home Screen.” Finally, tap “Add” in the top right corner to complete the installation. The PWA will now be accessible from your home screen.

Installing the App on Android:

On Android devices, you can install the PWA using the default Chrome browser. Begin by opening Chrome and visiting the website. Once you’re on the site, tap the three-dot menu icon in the top right corner. From the menu, select “Add to Home screen.” Confirm the installation by tapping the “Add” button in the popup. The PWA will now be installed and available on your home screen.

Installing the App on Windows or Mac:

For Windows and Mac users, the best browsers to install Web Apps are Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. Start by opening the browser and navigating to the desired website. If the site is a PWA, you will notice an icon on the right side of the URL bar. Click on the icon, and a prompt will appear. Follow the instructions to install the PWA. Alternatively, you can also install the App from the browser’s menu.

On a Windows PC, the App will be accessible from the start menu. On a Mac, you can find the App in the launcher and in the spotlight search.
